Encryption does not protect illegal content.
What this means
BNSMS is designed to keep ordinary conversations private, full stop. It is not designed, and will never be used, to shield illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), from detection or law enforcement. Known CSAM is automatically identified before a message is encrypted, and reported in accordance with international law. We do not read your messages to do this, and we do not store their contents.
What this does not mean
This is not general message monitoring. BNSMS does not scan for keywords, review conversations, or provide message access to BootyNet, law enforcement, or any third party beyond this narrow, legally required exception. If your message isn’t a confirmed match against known illegal material, it remains fully private and unreadable by anyone but its recipient.
